Still got split rims on your 70 Series Landcruiser?

Published April 8, 2021 By Mick Farmer

Make sure that the tyre is suitable to take a tube. Most modern tubeless tyres are not finished internally and will damage a tube over time.

If the tyre is good, then ensure that the valve stem is not too long and stands proud of the rim. Otherwise, the valve stem can get damaged when driving in difficult terrain. Not the place to have to change tyres.

Or. Change the rims to take tubeless. Way to go! My preference.

Also, why are Toyota still fitting split rims?
